Rob & Raelene-:
*We have been caring and managing a large herd of Alpacas since
1991, along with our 4 children.
We started with only 2 pregnant females & a weanling male, on 2 acres, with dreams of lots of alpacas on a grand farm, one day importing our own stud males and maybe exporting one day
Like looking through a crystal ball almost 18 years ago, as we had no idea, when we started farming Alpacas, did we know how far this venture would take us.

To our amazement, all that and more....this has been a great journey for Rob & I as we now manage on the average between 350-400 alpacas, on 100 glorious lush acres.
We also now employ three of our 4 children and of course Rob & I work full time.

Elyse (left), has just turned 21. She was 3 when we first bought home our alpacas, so she has literally grown up with Alpacas, and is so in tune with every alpaca on the farm, making sure every cria gets a cuddle and a kiss every morning. As Australia's first alpaca apprentice, studying Wool classing, which the Deakin university is adapting for her with Alpaca, she is excelling in her first love... caring, breeding alpacas, understanding the scientific and educated way of breeding the type of fleeces that the future will command. We are so proud of Elyse and her achievements even at such a young age. Already she has completed Junior Judging, at numerous Royal Shows, and on the National level. Her trip to Peru did not turn out more eventful than we hoped, but she still did experience some magnificant animals, and she saw where they came from, and experienced the mystical ruins of an ancient culture, and then the dangers of modern Peru.  An experience she will take through her life, and will one day appreciate what she did for us in Cusco, without her, life would not be the way it is today for our family.
Elyse now manages the herd, while i oversee and manage the running of the farm,             and quarantine matters in the office.
It has worked out a great team, with great team effort.
Her brothers and sister also heping to oversee the farm and quarantine facility if   Rob       and i have to attend any major alpaca functions.
