**Preparation and planning of Quarantine Procedures to meet all protocol requirements, organize veterinary, AQIS and lab times
**Assists with arrangements of delivery of alpacas to Quarantine Facility, will meet vendors half way to help arrange pick up of animals (fuel costs only) which assists to reduce costs to the importer
**Import Permit is included in this price, and is arranged to save you any hassles in
completing govt forms
**Shearing your animals, previously, we met the cost and performance of shearing
This is now considered the responsibility of the vendor, and the alpacas have to be shorn within 14 days of entry to qyarantine, declaration required.the alpacas will be coated (if needed due to weather, cost of coats extra, but are specially made for the alpacas in quarantine, and as much as possible, the size of the coat is made up to the size of the alpaca/llamas, at wholesale rates),  (Conditions apply) If the alpacas need to be shorn at facility, then there will be a premium price paid by the importer, due to shearers costs per alpaca, handlers, and travel (as per the NZ protocol)
**Heated sheds for cooler weather and cold nights
**Purpose built facility to all modern standards, especially designed with our alpaca experience to handle and house alpacas, to suit their needs, and reduce any stress levels

**All endoparasite and echtoparasite treatments as per the NZ protocol, 8/5/06,
Clarifications have been obtained from Canberra & MAF ,NZ, (8/6/06). They have confirmed from 8/6/06, these procedures can be performed by a registered Veterinarian only, and can be performed on property of Origin, (as per protocol, declaration required) withon 7-10 days prior to entry and 48 hrs prior to entry. For the No frills quaranine these procedures will be
performed on Property of Origin. This procedure is to be performed properly to reduce any further worm count vet fees and lab costs.
Under "5 star" quarantine charges these are performed by the quarantine facility, and are not performed by the Property of origin, the cost of the AAV are included in the "5 star quarantine" charges
**Mariah hill meets all destination country's requirements to the current NZ Importing protocol, (8/5/06), as well as meeting all the requirements of the ASEL, and the Export (Animals) Control order, and all IATA standards
**All documentation, property clearances obtained, to meet both the Australian and NZ protocols. All AQIS requirements are met in a way to reduce AQIS costs of assessing and completion of health certificate
**No Shortcuts, it is not worth it, as this gives opportunities for the protocol not meeting importing/exporting standards, and risks rejection
**All veterinary procedures performed from the day of entry to departure, that are required by the NZ Importing Protocol and Govt Laboratory fees are included in these prices.
***Any Extra veterinary costs, that are not part of the NZ Import Protocol, will be charged for as extra items by the AAV.
**Aqis costs met (conditions apply..1 import permit per shipment, as per shipments up to date)
**Quality Lucerne Chaff, and feed, extra mineral supplements, and all alpaca requirements so your alpaca can enjoy his/her time in quarantine. With almost 16 yrs experience in managing large herds, we are aware and know all the requirements of alpacas to maintain top condition and health. We do not spare a cent as far as the welfare of all the alpacas in the shipment.....that is why all the alpacas in each shipment has always put on weight in quarantine, an unequalled record previously to when we started exporting.
**Individual assessment, each alpaca is assessed all the way through the quarantine procedures and each individuals needs are met. If one alpaca needs extra of anything, we are aware, supervise and meet each alpacas demands
**Large areas for exercise, and large shedding for protection from all elements. An important asset for the welfare and contentment of the alpacas in quarantine, they all seem to enjoy all aspects and do not show signs of stress while in quarantine
**Equal opportunity to feed, all alpacas have equal access to feed so no alpaca has to compete for feed or water
**Air Freight, and penning at airport
** Importing agent this will have to be negotiated with our representative in New Zealand if you require negotiations between MAF and Customs Clearance, and she will greet and check the shipment of alpacas at the airport. She can also arrange delivery at a small cost to an agreed meeting place- an excellent service which many have taken advantage of, and have been extremely happy with, none of this service is supplied by Mariah hill Alpaca Exports.
**Crates to meet all IATA standards, for smooth pick up at Auckland airport.
**If there is enough animals to go to the South island, this can be arranged, to ease the stress for the alpacas for the long land transport ahead after arrival at the airport.

**Confirmation of pregnancy and stage of pregnant by ultrasound is included in the 5 star rates, No Frills - this procedure is performed by vendor, extra charges will apply, if vendor does not meet conditions.
**All Health certificates and fitness for travel certificates as required by MAF supplied in 5 star only - No frills, the first health certificate is to be paid by the vendor, (performed 48 hrs prior to entry)
**Airline surcharges (conditions apply) on confirmation of flight booking
**Permission for to load the alpacas from AQIS
**GST in Australia is not applicable to overseas work
**Communication, we keep you up to track on how the quarantine is going, and lets you make the decision for the care of your alpaca. we believe a vital ingredient for us running our operation properly and so that you the importer has full confidence in the care of your alpacas

All Import details, and documentation, customs, MAF is organized for your smooth handover by
our NZ Import Agent, Bev & John Scott (details and link, Home page), for a small fee, she
organizes and covers all your requirements. and she should be contacted so she can start
moving on the documentation.
  All you have to do, is select your alpaca, and we will do the rest.

  The cost does not include,
**Any second testing for endoparasite clearance to Zero egg count, if the alpaca needs a second test during the quarantine, to obtain clearance for export, the extra vet and lab cost is not included, (approx $55 each plus vet charges),
**Every attempt and effort is made to clear the alpaca to Zero count, sometimes this is impossible in the time line we are given.
If the alpaca is rejected, then they can go into the next shipment, but the cost of each quarantine has to be paid. That is why we advise, that you negotiate with vendors if this happens.  The Endoparasite and Echtoparasite treatment is to be performed by professionals to assure that retesting, and further costs to the Importer does not occur.
**Any unforeseen extra costs, due to extra veterinary work other than that required by NZ Protocol.
**InsuranceMariah hill Alpaca Exports – undertake to care for all animals to the best of their ability – however – this does not include any insurance – we recommend that the owners of the animals – insure their animals.
**Any Costs be it GST, Customs documentation, MAF or any NZ costs, are to be paid within 2 weeks prior to departure from Australia.
**All Quarantine costs are to be paid 2 weeks prior to departure from Australia
**Trucking from Property of Origin to Quarantine
**Shearing as per NZ Protocol
**Mariah Hill will not be responsible if the property of origin does not meet any deadlines, and the alpaca cannot enter quarantine because of this.

Mariah hill has succeeded in supplying a full hassle free service, but we realize that some breeders do not want all the extras of this service, we have tried to endeavor to meet those importers needs, and give a 'no frills service", where the importer has more responsibility, and some costs are passed onto the vendor or property of origin.

Starting their herd with as little as 2 females and 1 male, we are now farming over 300 alpacas on 100 acres on their picturesque Nar Nar Goon Property.
With the continual overseas interest in alpacas bred by Mariah hill, Rob & Raelene decided the next step in their business venture, was to open a quarantine station for overseas buyers.
this will also assist their overseas clients in shipping their alpacas with little fuss for the importer.
All official documentation can be arranged, meeting the country of destination quarantine requirements. Supply of stock for overseas orders can be source to satisfy the importers requirements, and to meet any permit regulations.
